The extended second. Sea.
24 photos taken in sequence create the “one second cinematic sequence”.
The subject is the sea in continuous motion. These 24 images presented in a line are my visual commentary to the poem Cement factory, autumn by the Hungarian poet Mónika Ferencz.
My first thought was to translate in photographic language the atmosphere of the poem without descending into the obedient illustration. So, my images and the poem’s words are in a complementary relation.
My answer to the grey, dusty, heavy cement state of mind is a meditation on the freedom of imagination (please look to the horizon line present in each of the 24 images) and on the fluidity of the time passing, using the historical vocabulary of conceptual art.
